Trump's Granddaughter Gets Professional Tips from Golf Legend Woods Ahead of LPGA Debut
The rising star has substantial online presence
The young golfer can count on multiple high-profile cheerleaders as she starts her professional golf debut this Thursday.
The 18-year-old athlete, who happens to be connected to Donald Trump, received a special exemption to compete at Florida's Annika event in Florida.
Her grandfather, someone who loves golf, possesses numerous courses worldwide and frequently matches against Kai.
"He's fairly competent. I can't say much but we have some close matches," she stated.
Kai explained that her grandfather, who won't be present, counseled her: "Just don't get nervous."
"He basically told me to go out there and relax," she continued.
"To me, he's simply a normal grandpa. He's not attending for the tournament. He's busy with running the country, making him rather occupied."
Being non-professional, Kai has competed in just three tournaments recently and maintains ranking 461 in AJGA rankings.
Yet she's able to receive tips from Tiger Woods, in a relationship with Vanessa.
"He is the best player worldwide," Kai expressed.
"Furthermore, he's a superior individual. He told me to compete, have fun, following whatever happens."
She'll challenge some of top competitors in professional golf at the competition, such as world number two the champion, England's Charley Hull, Lexi Thompson and last year's winner Lilia Vu.
Tournament organizers stated that Kai's presence exposes golf to different demographics, especially among the next generation.
Kai has substantial online presence and has started her own apparel and wellness label.
She begins at 17:30 GMT.
