Plane Carrying Pete Hegseth Forced to Land in UK Because of Crack in Cockpit Window
An aircraft transporting the US defense secretary was required to make an unplanned landing in the United Kingdom on Wednesday due to a fissure was discovered in the plane's windshield, per an announcement which stated that the secretary was unharmed.
"The jet landed in accordance with established safety measures and all individuals on the flight, among them Secretary Hegseth, is unharmed," a press officer commented in a public statement.
Hegseth was returning from a short visit to the city of Brussels during the flight.
This event isn't the first occasion that a American defense plane carrying a senior official has suffered mechanical issues.
Months ago, a American military jet transporting the US Secretary of State to Munich was compelled to return to Washington after experiencing a mechanical problem.
